Say NO to SKIPPING BREAKFAST~~!!^^

Don't you think breakfast is very vital??

If you say

You are totally wrong~~

Our body is similar to a car in the fact that it needs fuel to run, and like a car, the better you look after your body, the longer and better it will run.

If you're one of those people who thinks skipping breakfast is a good way..
to LOSE WEIGHT~~
Think again!

WHY??

It is from our brain that messages are sent to other parts of the body to get them moving and working well.

If our brain is not fed, it will act in a slow and sluggish manner, which will impact greatly on the rest of our body.

The brain requires glucose or blood sugar to provide it with energy to function, whilst the muscles of our body need glucose to activate them and get the body working physically.

To work and feel well, our blood sugar levels must be maintained at a certain level. After long periods without food, our blood sugar levels fall, causing tiredness and irritability amongst other symptoms that occur wh
Ien you need food.

  • By eating breakfast, it can increase your metabolism and burning those calories you need to burn to lose weight..or else.....

Tadaaaaa~~
Some people erroneously think that by skipping breakfast, they will reduce their calorie intake for the day and that it will help them to lose weight.

Not only are you giving your body the worst possible start in the morning and putting it under unnecessary pressure, this is also not the case.

Missing breakfast often leads to overeating at some point later on in the day, usually snacking on unhealthy foods, which are high in calories and fat. You may also become over hungry mid-morning and by lunchtime could end up eating twice as much than if you had eaten a healthy breakfast that released energy slowly throughout the day.

Finnish researchers stated that;

…those who missed the meal were likely to be fatter, possibly because they are more likely to have unhealthy snacks mid-morning to boost their energy levels. They were also likely to be less well-educated, making it harder for them to get a job.

  • Breakfast helps to wake you up....^^...It helps to improve memory and positively affects the tasks that require the retention the new information...You can do better at school and work...

YOU CHOOSE.....
A study by Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital of children in Philadelphia and Baltimore showed that children who regularly ate breakfast had better standardized test scores, better behavior, and were less hyperactive than children who skipped breakfast.

Studies indicate that the metabolism of people who habitually skip breakfast can slow down to a point where it burns 100-200 fewer calories a day. When they skip breakfast, some people will experience symptoms of low blood sugar. They will feel light-headed, shaky, weak and be unable to concentrate, says Green-Burgeson – a registered dietitian at UC Davis Medical Center.

  • Without breakfast, your stomach will end up with those embarrasing noises  and this will lead you to eat a lot when lunch~~right??heeee....
it's a lot~~ =_="
  • ATTENTION~~!! ---->> Skipping breakfast can increase the risk of getting heart disease~(actually can increase the percentage of mortality too...uhuk2....)

  • People who eat breakfast tend to be in better mood...believe it or not....BELIEVE IT...

~~smiiiiiiiileeeeeeee~ =)

With all of these reasons to eat breakfast, why would you even want to skip it?

So yeah... you should definitely always eat breakfast, and it is the most important meal of the day!

The best types of foods to be eaten at breakfast are;

  1. complex carbohydrates such as whole grains including oats, rye bread and millet together with a small amount of dried fruit and freshly squeezed juice.

  •  Have a low GI (glycaemic index), which means that they release glucose steadily and slowly into the bloodstream
  •  These foods will keep you fuller for longer, prevent unhealthy snacking, keep energy levels steady without dipping and provide you with essential vitamins and minerals that may be missed at other meals.
  2. some form of protein
  •  as protein balances blood sugar levels and recent studies have also proven that concentration levels are enhanced if some form of protein in consumed during the breakfast meal.
  • eg: eggs, fish, nuts and seeds. Eggs are a particularly rich source of choline (B vitamin), which the body converts into acetyl-choline, a neurotransmitter found in the brain

Green-Burgeson’s recommendation:
choosing a cereal that’s low in sugar – less than five grams per serving – and using nonfat or one percent milk. A serving of fruit, such as half a cup of orange juice, makes the breakfast complete.
Green-Burgeson says bagels and toast are good choices, while “oatmeal is one of the healthiest things you can eat.” Another quick, healthy option is to drink a blended mixture of plain yogurt, fruit and milk.
Green-Burgeson says, “People who don’t eat breakfast shouldn’t use that as an excuse to eat more at other times of the day.”

So you guys and gals out there, how do you regard your breakfast? Or how your breakfast has been going on?
